MARCH OF DIMES IMPROVING THE HEALTH OF TUSCALOOSA AREA BABIES
Local business leaders, families, and community members have joined March for Babies to raise funds for preterm birth prevention giving more babies a healthy start. We are pleased to announce that Tuscaloosa business leader Tim Rosson has been succeeding in his role of Tuscaloosa Co. March for Babies Chair. March for Babies is the largest annual fundraising event for the March of Dimes. Tuscaloosa Area residents can sign up today at marchforbabies.org and start a team with co-workers, family and friends. Last year, more than 200 people attended the event — which will be held this year on Saturday, May 3 at Snow Hinton Park.
As March for Babies Chair, Rosson has played an integral role in raising awareness and funds to advance the scientific research and educational programs at the core of the March of Dimes effort to find causes and preventions for preterm birth and birth defects since June of 2013. In conjunction with the Chairman, the Hortons, this year’s Ambassador Family, have also been raising awareness for the March for Babies in Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas. In a recent conversation, Abby mentioned, "as a former NICU mom and an avid volunteer for the March of Dimes, I look forward to the Tuscaloosa March for Babies Walk every year.” She said that “without the support of the March of Dimes, my family would have been drastically affected after the births of our two sets of twins. The work of the March of Dimes helps our communities in a meaningful and tangible way.” Abby & her Husband Chris and family wanted to leave everyone with this, “It is both an honor and privilege to participate in such a worthy cause as this. My family and I encourage you to get connected with the March of Dimes and I invite you to participate in the Tuscaloosa March for Babies Walk. Together, let's support 'Stronger Healthier Babies!"
