AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

ACT PREP

Shelton State Community College (SSCC) Workforce Development will offer seven-week ACT preparation courses on the Martin Campus. Two course options are available as listed below. All sessions will be held from 4:15 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. in room 1913, and attendance is required for all dates listed in a selected course.

In the course, students will learn how each section of the ACT is designed so they can approach that section with an effective strategy. They will then individually use these concepts on a practice test and participate in discussion about the questions. This practice and refining process will sharpen the student’s thinking skills for the test.

 

The cost of the course is $350. Because space is limited to twelve students, early registration is encouraged.

The Dance Centre

For over six decades, The Dance Centre has inspired generations of dancers through exceptional training, meaningful mentorship, and a love for the performing arts. Falcon 1 Karate

CREATIVE ARTS

 

Alabama Choir School 

The Alabama Choir School is an after-school community youth choir program for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. This school year, select choirs will sing with the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra (including a performance of the movie Home Alone at the Mercedes Benz Amphitheater!), at Dollywood theme park, and give two concerts at the University of Alabama’s Moody Concert Hall. Brushstrokes 

Brushstrokes with Ann Foster is located in a spacious, bright and exciting studio in downtown Northport. Along with after school classes for children, Ann also offers summer camps, teen classes and adult classes.
