Capstone Kids Pediatric Dentistry

Welcome!

We’re excited to offer a special approach to dentistry through our Pediatric Dental clinic. With a special heart for children, we have created an environment that will help nurture and develop healthy dental habits for a lifetime! We invite you to take time to get to know us better, and find out why we would be a great dental home for your child.

The Pediatric Dentist Difference

Pediatric dentistry is the specialty of dentistry that focuses on the oral health and unique needs of young people. After completing a four-year dental school curriculum, Dr. Oliver was required to complete two additional years of rigorous training to become a pediatric dentist. The specialized program of study and hands-on experience prepared him to meet the unique needs of infants, children, and adolescents, including those with special health care needs.

Parents who feel strongly about taking their children to a pediatrician should likewise be inclined to seek the specialized training of a pediatric dentist. Dr. Oliver will partner with your child’s pediatrician to provide the best comprehensive health care plan to meet the needs of your growing child.

Children

Children are a precious gift. An early start in regular dental care is an important step on the road to total health. Pediatric dentists recommend early routine dental visits so that any problems may be detected, treated early, or even avoided completely. Early oral care encourages healthy dental habits that can last for years to come. We would like to see cavity-free children with bright smiles; therefore, we begin seeing children by the age of 12 months as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Special Needs Dentistry

All children, especially those with special needs, deserve quality dental care that is kind and compassionate. We provide special needs dentistry that involves parents in every step of their child’s dental services. We have state-of-the-art equipment that makes routine checkups, annual cleanings, x-rays, and other procedures more comfortable for our patients.

We offer a private hygiene room for patients and their families. All of our operative rooms are private as well. We work very hard to accommodate the needs and desires of each patient. We want your child to remember that coming to the dentist is fun!

Children’s Behavior in the Dental Office

Pleasant visits to the dental office help a child establish trust and confidence in their dental home. Dr. Oliver and his staff have been specially trained to help young apprehensive children feel good about seeing the dentist and taking care of their teeth. Friendly, compassionate professionals and bright, cheerful office surroundings are all here to help your child have healthy teeth and gums.

Accepting New Patients!

Kindness and compassion are the best tools we have in getting your child started on a pathway of good dental health. If your child should be afraid because it’s a new situation, please be reassured. Working together, we will strive to overcome any apprehension your child may have.
